Steve Connor Guitar

Prize guitar by Steve Connor made of a cedar soundboard, Katalox rosewood back/sides/neck, flamed mahogany neck, 650 scale, elevated fingerboard, and valued at $15,000. Only 5-Day Participants + Competitors are eligible to win the guitar.

Adult Performance Competition

The 2015 Boston GuitarFest Competitions will run concurrently with the festival. The Adult Competition takes place from June 18 to June 21. The Stephan Connor guitar is only available to a first-prize winner who is also a 5-day full participant, but it is also possible to register for the competition alone. Youth Performance Competition

Boston GuitarFest is pleased to announce the return of the Youth Competition, which consists of two divisions: a senior division for high school students younger than 18 years of age as of June 20, 2015, and a junior division for students younger than 15 years of age as of June 20, 2015. The Youth Competition takes place from June 20 to June 21. For prizes, rules, and other details, consult the guidelines link below. Young Guitarists Workshop participants can enter the competition for free, but must also be available for YGW activities during the week.* If you have questions, contact ygwboston@gmail.com. *If you are a YGW participant, the competition is INCLUDED in tuition, but you still need to register by e-mail. Contact Hank Mou at hank.mou@necmusic.edu to register for the competition in addition to YGW.
